Giving Stray and Homeless Animals a Purposeful Life

RefugePaws is a 24-hour shelter that rescues, treats, and shelters stray and homeless animals across Peshawar, Pakistan. We are a team of people dedicated to serving our four-legged friends that have been neglected by society. Our shelter is their forever home, but all our animals are adoptable.

Our priority is to help the paralyzed, injured, or critically sick stray animals, the ones that no shelter or system will take in. We also educate the public about the suffering of neglected and abused animals.

How RefugePaws Helps Animals

From the moment an animal is found without a home to their long-term care in our shelter, we are with them every step of the way.

Emergency Rescue

Our volunteers respond to calls across our service area, rescuing injured, paralyzed, and critically ill stray animals who need immediate help.

Treatment & Sterilization

Every rescued animal receives veterinary treatment. Our spay and neuter program works to humanely reduce the stray population over time.

Shelter & Long-Term Care

Animals who cannot survive as strays live in our shelter permanently. We feed, care for, and give them a purposeful, dignified life.

Public Education

We run community outreach programs to raise awareness about animal suffering, responsible pet ownership, and compassion toward stray animals.

Daily Feeding Drives

Volunteers conduct regular feeding drives for stray and homeless animals in our service area who are not in the shelter but still need consistent nourishment.

Adoption Program

We find loving forever homes for animals that are healthy and ready. Every adoption is screened to ensure the animal goes to a safe, caring family.
